What is the FCX recertification process before July 15, 2026?

Modified on Fri, 1 May at 9:08 AM

To recertify, eligible candidates will receive registration instructions by email. The following requirements apply:

  • While the certification is still valid (within the three-year period), the candidate must take and pass the  NSE 8 - Recertification exam (NSE8_813) at Pearson Vue (three attempts maximum).
  • If the candidate fails the recertification exam after three (3) attempts, they must continue to attempt the written exam until they pass it; however, the candidate must schedule and pass the most updated version of the practical exams also.
  • Candidates can not recertify sooner than six months before the expiration date.

When the candidate passes the written recertification exam and FCX renews, it also renews any other active Fortinet certifications the candidate has achieved previously, such that all expiry dates will align with the FCX certification expiry date.

If your FCX certification is expiring in less than six months and you have not received the registration instructions, submit a ticket to the Fortinet Training Institute support team. A Fortinet Training Institute representative will contact you with registration instructions.
