What are the available options and technical requirements for taking the NSE 8 practical exams?

Modified on Fri, 1 May at 9:02 AM

NSE 8 practical exams are delivered using a hybrid format.

The Core exam module is only available on-site at selected Fortinet offices and during Accelerate and selected regional Xperts events based on scheduled exam sessions. The Elective exam modules are available both on-site and online through ProctorU. Online exams are available based on capacity, except during predefined maintenance schedules. During the scheduling process, you will be presented with the available options based on your selection of the preferred start date/time.

When you start the scheduling process, the first option available will always be after 15 days. This scheduling delay is for resource and capacity planning.

All the requirements for both the physical test location and computer setup are outlined in the FCX Public Handbook. It is allowed (and highly recommended) to have 2 (maximum) screens during your practical exam. This setup will greatly improve your exam experience.

The preparation training for the practical exam is updated regularly. A student will be automatically enrolled in the training 10 days before the scheduled date of the practical exam to ensure the student uses the latest version prior to the exam.
