How do I know if I am eligible for the online recertification assessment and how can I access it?

You are eligible to enroll in a recertification assessment, if

• The certification you want to renew is still active.
• The last exam was not taken more than two years ago.
• There is a recertification assessment available for the last exam you took to achieve or renew the certification.
• The version of the recertification assessment needs to be higher than the version of the last exam.

In your profile, go to your Certifications page. The default view will show the latest certification you have achieved. You will see the Recertify button on the top right (see image below). If the button is blue, clicking on it will redirect you to the relevant recertification assessment page.

Alternatively, or if you want to view a different certification than the default on your dashboard:

1. Click View all certifications and select the certification you want to view.
2. Click on the 3 dots in the top right of the NSE Certification
3. If you are eligible, the Recertify option will be visible

Once you are on the recertification assessment course page, you can enroll in the course by following these instructions:

1. Click Buy Now

2. Complete the information required in the Checkout page

3. Click Continue

4. Add your credit card information or if you have a recertification assessment voucher click Add Discount

5. Complete the transaction 

A limited number of recertification assessments will be available starting on July 15, 2026. On July 15, 2026, the following exams will have recertification assessments: 

• NSE 4 FortiOS Administrator 
• NSE 7 Secure Networking Architect
• NSE 7 SASE Architect
• NSE 7 Cloud Security Architect

More recertification assessments will be added in 2026 and 2027.  If a recertification assessment is not available for an exam, you must pass the next version of the proctored exam or pass a different exam to recertify.
