Exam Policy - Exam Results and Score Report

The Fortinet Training Institute analyzes exam attempts using statistical methods and other techniques to verify that exam scores accurately reflect candidates' knowledge. Score reports are provisional, and results could be subject to revision. Candidates can view their official exam results in their training institute account within 5 to 15 business days after completing the exam. Results under investigation might be delayed. Although decisions are ideally made promptly, investigations and related actions can occur at any point during the validity of the exam or certification.

Because exam deliveries are subject to review, any anomalies identified in a delivery may place your result on hold. If this occurs, your Pearson VUE account will display: Delivery successful, Pass/Fail (Result on hold). Holds are reviewed weekly and will then be released or revoked. If you notice a result on hold, you will receive an email from Fortinet within 7-10 business days of your appointment.

When taking an exam at Pearson VUE, the candidate will receive an on-screen notice of the provisional exam result at the end of the exam. The Fortinet Training Institute account will be updated with the exam result within 5 business days.

Score reports list the main topics assessed on an exam. Exam grades are based on overall exam performance, not performance on individual sections. Exam subscores are represented in a bar chart based on a 0-100% scale. The results achieved in each section are represented by the proportion of the bar chart that is filled in. If an exam section is not represented by a bar in the chart, this indicates that the candidate answered no questions correctly in that section. Section-based exam results are shown for reference only.

When taking the NSE 8 practical exam, candidates receive their exam score report by email within 15 business days of completing the exam.

To maintain the confidentiality of our exams and ensure fair treatment for all candidates, the Fortinet Training Institute does not discuss exam details or individual performance with test takers.
