The Fortinet Training Institute is committed to upholding the integrity of the examination process and exam results through statistical analysis and various evaluation methods. If Fortinet identifies any signs of improper activity or if analysis suggests that an exam result does not accurately reflect a candidate's knowledge, Fortinet will conduct a thorough review of the exam result.
If Fortinet suspects or discovers that an individual has engaged in improper activities during an exam, indicating possible misconduct or invalidating the integrity of the exam result, Fortinet will initiate a detailed investigation. After the initial investigation is complete, the following will occur:
- Notification: Fortinet will inform the candidate of its findings and provide them with an opportunity to respond.
- Appeal: The candidate can appeal the decision by submitting a written statement within 15 days of being notified of the findings. Fortinet will review the appeal.
- Final decision: After the investigation is complete and the outcome is determined, Fortinet will notify the candidate in writing of the final decision.
Fortinet may rescind exam scores, revoke certifications, restrict participation in programs, and take necessary actions to maintain the integrity of the Fortinet NSE Certification Program, in accordance with the Candidate Agreement and program policies.
Fortinet maintains records of all incidents of exam misconduct, including any subsequent actions taken. These records remain confidential and Fortinet uses them solely to uphold the integrity of the NSE Certification Program.
Fortinet, or its exam delivery vendors, may detect violations of examination rules throughout the examination process. Examples of cheating and misconduct include, but not limited to:
- Using prior knowledge of test content
- Using inappropriate or unauthorized test aids or assistance
- Disclosure of test content, discussions about the test content, and collusion
- Misrepresenting yourself, fraudulent authentication
- Tampering with the testing environment or equipment
- Removal of test content during a testing session
- Failure to follow examination processes and the retake policy
