I'm an veteran interested in Fortinet training, how do I get started?

Modified on Mon, 20 Apr at 8:36 AM

Thank you for your interest in the Fortinet Veterans Program, and thank you for your service!

To take advantage of the program’s benefits, please join one of our veteran partner organizations. You can view the full partner list by country here. If you've already set up a Fortinet Training Institute account but aren’t yet a partner member, please refer to the Notes section below.

Program Benefits
Through our partners, the Veterans Program offers free, self-paced training, access to virtual labs, and exam vouchers. Our veteran partners also offer additional resources, including career development services, resume writing, interview prep, and access to job boards.

Getting Started
  • Before enrolling in a course, review all course requirements and prerequisites.
  • You’ll need to submit proof of course completion to your partner organization before receiving exam vouchers.
  • If you’re new to networking, we highly recommend starting with the Networking Fundamentals course as a foundation.
Notes:
  • Vouchers and labs are reserved for veterans and military spouses transitioning into cybersecurity. Veterans already in IT, Networking, or cybersecurity can still access free training, but vouchers and labs are prioritized for those entering the field.
  • If you've set up a public Fortinet account without joining a veteran partner organization:
Your account is currently categorized as general public, giving you access to free training but not to exam vouchers or labs. Once you join a veteran partner, let us know, and we’ll help adjust or merge your account to reflect program benefits.

Good luck on your cybersecurity journey! Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions.
